Mehndi · Nikah · Walima · Mandap-Capable · HMC Halal · Alcohol-Free · 15 Min from Solihull
Solihull's South Asian community — particularly families in Shirley, Olton, Hampton-in-Arden and Knowle — has been steadily growing for two decades. Many of these families have outgrown the wedding venue options within Solihull proper. Country-house hotels don't truly understand Asian wedding traditions, community halls within the borough are limited in size and decor capacity, and the few specifically-Asian venues are either old-school banqueting halls or city-centre options requiring long, congested drives. LUXE VENUE in Sparkbrook fills the gap — a 15-minute drive from Solihull, fully equipped for Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sikh and Hindu weddings, with the scale, infrastructure and cultural fluency that a modern Asian wedding requires.
Pakistani and Indian weddings increasingly run as 2 or 3 day events: Mehndi (day 1), Nikah & Walima (day 2), reception/second walima (day 3). Solihull hotels usually can only offer single-day bookings — meaning your family runs around between three different venues over a weekend, with parking and logistics nightmares. Our hall hosts all three events sequentially, with full decor changes between days handled by our team. Multi-day packages start at £11,500 for 200 guests across two days, £18,500 for three days.
Hindu and Sikh weddings need a mandap (canopy structure) for the religious ceremony. Our main hall has a flying point above the stage capable of supporting installations up to 60kg, and our preferred decorators can install a full traditional mandap with hanging florals in 4 hours. Sikh kirtan-based ceremonies need a slightly different configuration — palki, sangat seating — which we have done multiple times.
Muslim weddings often include Nikah and prayer breaks throughout the day. We have separate male/female prayer rooms with wudu facilities adjacent, which most Solihull hotel venues lack. This means a 5-minute prayer break instead of a 30-minute "drive to the nearest mosque" interruption.
The cuisine on offer at Solihull hotel weddings is often "Asian-influenced" — biryani made by a chef who learned it last year, karahi without the right tarka. Our kitchen is staffed by Asian chefs (multiple Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi backgrounds), HMC Halal certified, producing dishes that grandmothers actually approve of. Live cooking stations (kebabs, chaat, dosa) for an extra £6/head are popular for adding theatre to the food experience.
Asian weddings traditionally don't end at 10:30pm. The dance floor often peaks around 11pm. Our standard licence runs to 11pm with extensions to midnight via Temporary Event Notice (£75) easily granted. Some Solihull country-house venues impose strict 10:30pm music-off restrictions that ruin the closing energy.

Beyond Muslim wedding traditions, we have hosted:
Solihull and surrounding areas have a handful of venues marketed as "Asian-friendly". The reality is most of them only mean: "we will serve Halal food on request". The deeper requirements — alcohol-free environment, multi-day packages, mandap support, separate prayer rooms, Asian-trained chefs, late-finish capability, Asian wedding decor experience — usually aren't met. LUXE VENUE provides all of these as standard, not as expensive add-ons. This is why Solihull families increasingly choose us over closer alternatives.
Standard packages include basic chair covers, table linen and centrepieces. For Asian-traditional decor:
Our bridal suite is on-site, with mirror lighting, hairstylist plug points, fridge for refreshments, and private dressing area. The bride and her bridal party can arrive at 9am for a 2pm Nikah, prepare without leaving the venue, and walk down a private corridor to the ceremony. Mehndi-stained palms can be reapplied between events. Bridal photographer can shoot in the suite, in the main hall, or in the entrance hall corridor.
