Most "rehearsal spaces" in Birmingham are either dingy basement rooms with one tatty PA, or full performance halls priced at £600+ a day. LUXE VENUE sits in the gap — we open our main hall and three breakout rooms by the hour for proper, professional rehearsal sessions across music, theatre, dance, choir and stand-up comedy.
You can rent the same 500-capacity hall, the same line-array PA and the same stage that you'd perform on the night — at 1/30th the cost of a full event hire. We've had Birmingham bands rehearse with us the week before a Symphony Hall slot, choirs prepare for Birmingham Cathedral, and qawali ensembles iron out a 90-minute set list before headlining at our hall the same weekend.
500-capacity hall, full stage, full PA. Use this if you need to:
120m² acoustically treated room. Includes vocal PA, 2 mics, 2 monitors, drum kit (Pearl 5-piece), bass amp (Ampeg BA-115), guitar amp (Fender Hot Rod Deluxe), and a Korg digital piano. Up to 8 musicians plus a 5m × 4m playing area.
110m² sprung-floor room with full-length mirrors on one wall and a Bluetooth-enabled JBL EON 615 powered speaker. Suitable for bharatnatyam, kathak, bhangra, contemporary, ballet, ballroom, and aerobics/fitness classes. Mirror wall is 8m long — large enough for a full dance crew.
Quiet, carpeted 40m² room with a single SM58, a small monitor, and intimate seating for an audience of 30. Ideal for stand-up comedy run-throughs, spoken word, mushaira rehearsals, sermon prep, podcast scripting, and reading rehearsals. Often used by Birmingham comedians for their last "preview" night before an Edinburgh Fringe run.

A choir rehearsing 2 hours per week in Studio A for 12 weeks pays effectively £49/hour for a proper 120m² room with PA — that is the cheapest properly-equipped rehearsal rate in Birmingham, full stop.
To give you confidence we are not just a hall pretending to be a rehearsal space:
Booking is by the hour with a 1-hour minimum. Same-day bookings are welcomed if availability allows — we frequently fit in a 2-hour band rehearsal between event setup gaps. Pay by bank transfer, card or cash on arrival.
Cancellation policy is flexible: more than 48 hours' notice = free reschedule; less than 48 hours = full charge or paid reschedule. We do not penalise weather, transport strike or sudden ill-health cases — just tell us.
The only firm house rules: no alcohol on premises (ever, even bring-your-own), no smoking (including vapes) inside, respect closedown times, and no rehearsing post-11pm to keep our residential neighbours friendly.
The cheapest band, choir and theatre groups in Birmingham always sound and look the cheapest. The ones that get booked again sound polished — and the only difference is rehearsal hours. £25/hour for a properly equipped room is a smaller investment than your printing costs, your costumes or your travel. It's the single best per-pound improvement you can make to your act.
