Most couples don't realise that getting legally married in the UK requires a licensed venue with a Birmingham registrar present — and the legal ceremony must be held in a separate "private and dignified" room before any religious or cultural celebration. LUXE VENUE is one of the few alcohol-free, Halal-friendly venues in B12 that's licensed by Birmingham City Council to host civil ceremonies. This means you can have your legal wedding AND your reception/Nikah/Walima all under one roof — no driving between venues, no rushed timing, no logistical nightmare.
A civil ceremony is a non-religious, legally-binding marriage performed by a Birmingham City Council registrar. It is the only way to be legally married in England without holding a religious ceremony in a separately-licensed religious building. Key facts:

Civil ceremony rules are very specific about what can and can't appear in the ceremony room:
If you want a religious element (Nikah, Hindu rituals, etc.) it must happen AFTER the civil ceremony, in a separate flow. We handle the room reset between segments.
About 25% of our civil ceremony bookings are civil only — couples who don't want a religious ceremony or are interfaith/secular. Our ceremony-only package at £1,800 suits this perfectly. Often paired with a small post-ceremony reception for close family (£800–£1,500 add-on).
