Godh Bharai — The Pakistani / Indian Baby Shower
Godh Bharai (literally "filling the lap") is the traditional South Asian baby shower, usually held in the 7th–8th month of pregnancy. Key elements:
- Mum-to-be sits on a styled chair or low stage
- Elder women bless her with rice, dry fruits, sweets
- Bangles given by mother-in-law and aunts
- Saree or shalwar gift presented
- Sweet rice and Halal mithai served
We provide the staging, ceremonial props (small puja-style tray, blessing bowls) and brief the kitchen on traditional Godh Bharai sweets (laddoo, barfi, gulab jamun, panjeeri).
Aqiqah — The Muslim Newborn Celebration
Aqiqah is held 7 days after birth (or any time during the first 40 days), to celebrate the newborn and distribute meat to family and the needy. At LUXE VENUE we host Aqiqahs as a daytime family event with:
- HMC Halal lamb-based main course (traditional for Aqiqah)
- Soft seating and quiet zones for the infant
- Optional Imam-led duas and naming ceremony
- Modest white-and-gold styling
- Charity portioning station (we help you divide meat for distribution)
Aqiqah packages start at £1,200 for 60 guests.
Gender Reveal Parties
Gender reveals have exploded in popularity since 2020. We offer multiple reveal mechanisms:
- Cannon smoke reveal — pink or blue smoke cannons indoors with proper ventilation
- Cake reveal — neutral icing, pink/blue sponge inside
- Balloon box reveal — pink or blue helium balloons released from giant cube
- Confetti cannon reveal — biodegradable confetti with colour signal
- Light display reveal — programmable LED ceiling lights flip colour
All reveal mechanisms are added on for £150–£450 depending on type. We coordinate with your photographer to capture the moment perfectly.
Catering for Baby Showers
Baby shower catering is more relaxed than weddings — guests typically grazing rather than seated dining. Our most popular menus:
- Halal Afternoon Tea: finger sandwiches, samosas, mini quiches, scones with clotted cream, mini desserts. £14/head.
- Asian Mezze: chaat station, kebab platters, pakoras, samosas, mini biryani cups, raita, mithai. £18/head.
- Hot Buffet Light: chicken karahi, rice, daal, naan, salad, dessert. £22/head.
- Full Dinner Buffet: multi-course Halal dinner with mains + sides + dessert. £28/head.

Most baby showers are booked 6–10 weeks ahead. Some last-minute Aqiqahs are booked 2–4 weeks ahead (since baby's arrival timing isn't always predictable). To secure your date:
