Celebrates the end of fasting. Sweet-focused menus (sheer khurma is the signature dish). Children receive Eidi (money gifts). Henna for women. Visits to relatives. Charitable giving (Zakat al-Fitr). Generally falls in March/April (2026: April 1).
Commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son. Lamb/meat-focused menus. Qurbani (animal sacrifice) meat divided into three portions — family, relatives, charity. Falls during Hajj season (2026: June 11).
